      Belgian cartoonist, Georges Prosper Remi (Hergé was his pen name) first published The Blue Lotus in a magazine in Brussels in 1931. At the time, imperialist Japanese troops were occupying China, including then American and British managed seaport _Shanghai”. Parts of the story are based in real events. I hope you all enjoy!
